OECHSLER’s Electric Parking Brake - Success story
We provide sophisticated solutions, based on 20 years of experience in actuator development, prototyping, and manufacturing.
Learn moreOECHSLER operates multiple Additive Manufacturing technologies to meet diverse customer requirements, and hence focuses on polymer applications based on DLS and MJF production technology. The key for our success in 3D-printed series production is our digitalized and highly automated solutions for pre-and post processing. The functional interaction of both – technology and processing – provides the highest level of flexibility and customization.
The Digital Light Synthesis technology from Carbon utilizes stacked layers of resin to form freely designable products. At the predetermined positions ultraviolet light is projected onto a liquid layer of resin through an oxygen permeable window to solidify the part. Subsequently the build platform rises and the process will restart. OECHSLER runs one of the largest fleets with more than 100 L2 printers in series production, but also operates smaller M2 printers for development and prototyping services.
An innovative processing solution is required to print durable and rigid products out of resin. A unique heat treatment strengthens the material and produces high-resolution parts with outstanding mechanical properties. Pre- and post-processing includes:
In HP’s Multi Jet Fusion technology a colored ink liquid - called a “fusing agent” – is inkjet printed onto a layer of the powder-based material according to the product design. Infrared light heats up the colored areas until reaching the melting temperature of the material, which leads to fusing only in the predetermined areas. Stacking layers of fused material creates additively manufactured components. OECHSLER operates several HP Multi Jet Fusion 5200 printers in series in the German Additive Manufacturing Hub. OECHSLER is part of HP's Digital Manufacturing Network and officially certified Multi Jet Fusion Production Professional.
In powder-based series manufacturing the decisive criteria for post-processing is to unpowder the production platform and smooth product edges. As our post-processing solutions are designed to be as flexible as our products, we individualize the process according to customer requirements including the following services:
