Matthias Oechsler founds a bone ring maker and bone button maker craft business.
1893
Otto Oechsler becomes co-owner of the company "Matthias Oechsler und Sohn".
1901
The former company founder Matthias Oechsler dies. His son Otto takes over the business and continues the expansion policy.
1912
The foundation of the plant in Weißenburg marks another milestone in the company’s expansion policy.
1939
At the beginning of the 1930s, the economic crisis forces the partial closure of individual departments and exports collapses.
1945
The Ansbach plant falls victim to the bombing raids of World War II. In the course of the reconstruction, a new workshop for the production of precision plastic parts is created.
1947
Albert Oechsler, who now manages the company, develops a plastic injection molding machine, which has since been manufactured in series in his own factory.
1964
OECHSLER changes its legal form to GmbH & Co. to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The former Bahnhofsstraße has since been named Matthias-Oechsler-Straße in honour of the company founder.
1965
The Ansbach plant is extended by an addition building.
1970
The Weißenburg plant is expanded on a large scale.
1998
The further expansion of the Ansbach site is agreed upon.
2000
The long-established company Matthias Oechsler & Sohn GmbH & Co. becomes the new OECHSLER AG with retroactive effect from January 1, 2000.
2005
New location: OECHSLER Plastic Products Co. Ltd. in Taicang, China.
2007
New location: OECHSLER Romania s.r.l. in Lipova, Romania
2012
New location: OECHSLER S.A. de C.V. in Querétaro, Mexico
2015
New shareholder:
DBAG acquires 20 percent stake in OECHSLER
