The OECHSLER Group, a leading plastics technology plastics technology group with a global presence and headquarters in Ansbach/Middle Franconia once again received the 'Axia Best Managed Companies Award' yesterday at an awards ceremony at its headquarters. With this award and seal of quality, the auditing and consulting company Deloitte, WirtschaftsWoche, and the BDI - Federation of German Industries - honor excellently managed medium-sized companies.
With this year's award, the jury honored the Group's high innovative strength and the interplay of tradition, innovation, and internationalization in a corporate strategy geared to the long term, as well as its excellent management of change processes. Founded in 1864, the company is today regarded as an international high-tech forge for forward-looking and innovative solutions in plastics technology - from precise and sophisticated technical individual parts to complex assemblies and systems.
"As one of the award winners, the OECHSLER Group once again impresses with its first-class corporate management - through high innovative strength, a strategy based on the long term, and strong governance structures. OECHSLER is thus not only a benchmark for excellently managed medium-sized companies, but at the same time symbolizes the future of Germany as a business location," said Lutz Meyer, Partner and Head of the SME Program at Deloitte on the occasion of the award ceremony.
"The environment currently characterized by the fight against the Covid-19 virus also poses major challenges for medium-sized companies in particular. We are therefore all the more delighted to receive this award. It is a recognition of the success of our clear and focused product strategy, but also of the culture and commitment of the entire 'OECHSLER family' - consisting of owners, employees, supervisory board, and management," explained Michael Meyer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), of OECHSLER AG.
The Axia Award has been recognizing outstanding medium-sized companies in Germany since 2007. The prize for entrepreneurial excellence, which is awarded in Germany by Deloitte, WirtschaftsWoche, and BDI, is part of the international Best Managed Companies Award. This award aims to establish a national, international, and international network of excellently managed companies that excel in the areas of strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment, and finance and governance. The Axia Best Managed Companies program was launched by Deloitte in Canada in the 1990s and has since been successfully introduced in more than twenty countries.
"It is above all also the internationality that makes the Axia Best Managed Companies Program," emphasized Program Manager Markus Seiz of Deloitte. "With the award, the winners gain access to a global network of excellently managed medium-sized companies from now more than 20 countries."
OECHSLER has been awarded many prestigious prizes
OECHSLER received the Axia Best Managed Companies Award for the second time. Companies Award is one of the numerous awards that the company has received in the recent past: Last year, OECHSLER received the 'Bosch Global Supplier Award' from Bosch in the category Direct Purchasing - Mobility Solutions - making it one of the technology and service company's best suppliers worldwide. In addition, OECHSLER was honored by Mekra Lang as 'Supplier of the Year in the field of Production Material' by Kieckert due to outstanding product quality for deliveries with 1st place in Europe and 1st place Global as well as in the men of the joint study by F.A.Z.-Institut, IMWF Institute for Management and Economic Research and Prognos "Germany's Innovation Leaders", which examines 33,000 companies from Germany.
In 2018, OECHSLER won the 'ZF Supplier Award' in the 'Innovation' category, which recognized the company's pioneering approaches to 3D printing technology. In 2016, OECHSLER was one of three companies to win the 'ZF Supplier Award' in the 'Production Materials' category, thus honored for the actuators for electronic parking brakes (EPB Actuators) supplied to ZF TRW. In 2015, OECHSLER has awarded the plaque of honor at the 'Großer Preis des Mittelstands 2015' for innovative strength, unchanged high standards of the company in employment, in education and training, and corporate citizenship. And already in 2014, OECHSLER was the winner in the category 'Large Medium-Sized Businesses' of the business prize 'Best Financial Communication in Medium-Sized Businesses' awarded by Euler Hermes, GE Capital Deutschland, and Commerzbank.
