The back system is the heart of every backpack - it determines carrying comfort, ventilation and ergonomics. A well-designed back padding ensures that the backpack sits securely, is easy on the back and effectively dissipates heat, especially on longer tours or during intensive exercise.

With the spring/summer 2025 collection, EVOC is launching the ALLRIDE 3D WP 16, an all-round backpack that sets new standards for outdoor equipment - with a back pad from OECHSLER. The innovative 3D back pad, made from the high-performance material EPU 44, combined with a waterproof backpack body, make the ALLRIDE 3D WP 16 a true all-rounder that impresses on any terrain and in any weather.

The new ALLRIDE 3D WP 16

The ALLRIDE 3D WP 16 by EVOC is a versatile performance backpack for ambitious cyclists, urban explorers and outdoor enthusiasts. Equipped with the latest 3D technology, it combines high functionality, outstanding carrying comfort and comprehensive weather protection - for every terrain and every adventure.

At the heart of the ALLRIDE 3D WP 16 is the 3D AIR PAD SYSTEM developed by OECHSLER. Six individually printed back elements made from the elastomeric high-performance material EPU 44 (Carbon®) form a specially developed, open grid structure that combines targeted cushioning and comfort zones with seamless 360-degree ventilation at the back. Thanks to the excellent energy return and rebound properties of EPU 44, the back system remains dimensionally stable and responsive even under continuous load - perfect for long tours, changing conditions and intensive movement.

The waterproof body, waterproof zippers and taped seams provide reliable protection against moisture and at the same time ensure a robust, dimensionally stable construction. The seamless shoulder straps and hip wings adapt ergonomically to the body and ensure optimum load distribution.

In cooperation with the premium backpack manufacturer EVOC, OECHSLER is bringing its expertise in the field of additive manufacturing to the outdoor industry. The aim was to take the proven AIR PAD SYSTEM to the next technological level - with a focus on back ventilation, comfort and cushioning.

With the help of our liquid-based 3D printing process, we have succeeded in developing a highly functional back system that offers maximum breathability thanks to an open grid structure, while at the same time providing ergonomic support and targeted pressure relief. The basis for this is additive manufacturing, in which components are produced by applying material layer by layer in a 3D printer. This allows individual components to be developed, tested and produced with tailored properties in terms of ventilation, cushioning, ergonomics and durability.
