Privacy Policy
We are very pleased that you are visiting our websites: many thanks for your interest! This privacy policy aims to inform you about the principles and procedures we use to protect your privacy, and tells you what happens to the data you give us.
What is OECHSLER's data protection based on?
OECHSLER takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data are collected, processed and used solely according to the stipulations made in the German Data Protection Law (BDSG), the German Law on Data Protection for Teleservices (TDDSG) and other regulations referring to data protection.
What should be borne in mind for personal data?
Basically you can use our website without disclosing your identity (anonymously). If you want to be registered for a personalised service, for example to receive information material by post, or if you take out a newsletter subscription, we ask you for your name and other personal information, because we cannot provide the required service without these details. However, we only collect those details which we need to fulfil your enquiry. You are completely free in your decision to use this service and to give us your data for the stated purposes.
Which data are still collected during anonymous use?
The logfiles (access reports) of our service only state the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us and those of our web pages which you visit, together with the point in time and length of your visit, browser version and operating system. This information is evaluated for statistical purposes. It is technically not possible for us to make any conclusions as to your identity. The individual user remains anonymous.
How is the security of your data guaranteed?
We have taken technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data provided by you from loss, damage and unauthorised access. If you should provide us with your personal data, we offer you the possibility of using the SSL (Secure Socket Layer). SSL encrypts your data while they are transmitted to us on the internet. This protected route for transmitting your data to us is shown by a lock symbol on the lower status bar of your browser, depending on which internet browser you use.
Are your data forwarded to third parties?
Your data are fundamentally not forwarded to third parties. Forwarding to OECHSLER companies or other third parties named in the declaration of consent takes place only with your consent and insofar as these recipients have undertaken vis-à-vis OECHSLER to comply with the valid data protection regulations. Your data are not forwarded by sale, renting or exchange. Insofar as we pass on data to external service providers for fulfilment of the order (order data processing as per §11 BDSG), they are oliged to abide by the specifications of the German Data Protection Law, other statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
Are there any exceptions regarding restricted forwarding of data to third parties?
Insofar as we are obliged by law or by a court order, we shall forward your data to state and private entities who are entitled to the information, after checking the facts of the matter carefully. We also reserve the right to forward your personal data to third parties even without your consent if this should be necessary to protect us from attacks constituting a criminal offence or which are suitable to prevent or impair the functioning ability of our website.
Are your data forwarded to non-Member States of the EU?
If in the context of our website you establish contact with the OECHSLER Group outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or the European Union (EU), your data will be transferred there. OECHSLER warrants the safe, legal use of your data in this context with corresponding precautions and data protection agreements.
How can you enforce your rights to revocation and deletion?
If you have given us any personal data, you can revoke this at any time. We shall then delete your data immediately. This does not refer to data for settlement and accounting purposes. The data are deleted after the periods defined in the TDDSG. Insofar as we are obliged by law to keep the data, the data are not deleted but blocked as far as technically possible. This means that the data are still present on our systems but are not processed or used any further.
Are cookies used?
"Cookies" are little files which are saved on your PC while using internet websites.
OECHSLER does not use any cookies.
What must be borne in mind with regard to links to other websites?
Our web pages sometimes contain links to other external websites. In spite of a meticulous check of the contents, we do not assume any liability for the contents and data protection of external links. We therefore recommend that you find out about the corresponding contents and data protection regulations before using these websites.
Any more questions?
Please do not hesitate to contact our data protection officer with any questions, suggestions or comments about data protection.
