Enlargement of the Executive Board

As from 1st of July the supervisory board of the Oechsler AG has appointed Dr.-Ing. Marco Wacker to the third member of the executive board. With the appointment of Dr.-Ing. Marco Wacker (40) the Oechsler AG has again succeeded in placing an experienced expert on top of the for our company very essential technology and innovation division. With his comprehensive experience from science and industry he is going to strengthen the technical expertise and innovation capacity of the Oechsler AG.

Dr.-Ing. Wacker is a highly competent scientist and has many years of practical experience. Previous to his change to the Oechsler AG he was technical director and head of research and development at the Jacob Plastics GmbH, the holding of the Jacob Group, a leading company for manufacturing plastics and fibre-reinforced composites. He has started his career in 2004 at Jacob Composite GmbH where he was in charge of building up the R&D department. Before that he has work in different responsible positions at the Institute of Polymer Technology (LKT) of the University Erlangen-Nuremberg since 1997 – at last holding simultaneously the two offices as head of fibre-reinforced composites as well as head of connecting technology/design. Before that he has studied mechanical engineering at the LKT where he also done his doctor’s degree in 2006.

In addition to this Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar Drummer, head of the LKT and until April 2009 authorised representative and head of the technology management at Oechsler, will continue to be available for us as a scientific consultant. Dr.-Ing. Wacker and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Drummer do know each other from their joint research work at the LKT and by the newly created intersection on board level they are going to develop the latest academic research results for the production and development at the Oechsler AG.
